Why was this time different? It looked like there was a spike in small spec longs in Jan'11 but that marked a top as the DX resumed its downward trend.

Also why do you think the DX is being controlled by stocks? My take is that it's the other way around...stocks declining because of the rally in the DX.

Thanks for sharing your insights.Return to Resistancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17454633307232737149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27784316.post-1535938850384097552011-05-13T11:41:51.715-07:002011-05-13T11:41:51.715-07:00Chris - I have more or less come to the same concl...Chris - I have more or less come to the same conclusion; this move down will end - probably today, maybe on Monday, and we will end up roaring back. That said, I have shorted the Russell, Gold, the Aussie, and went long the dollar on day trades - in a few cases multiple times :) I've made real money on a few trades, especially the second down leg in the Russell today, but there is not a lot of sense trying to swing the market(s?) right now. Oddly, I had a short in a few days ago on Wheat, which, at least as far as I can tell, should have been filled. Alas - no luck there.

Enjoy your weekend, and good luck with the Loonie & Pound.Konrad Sherinianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03373772982970306803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27784316.post-77667634755648186532011-05-13T11:36:58.147-07:002011-05-13T11:36:58.147-07:00Just wanted to say you have a great blog here, Chr...Just wanted to say you have a great blog here, Chris. Every post makes me feel sane in the midst of the wackadoodle environment we've had with all the bubbles and their bursting.

Kudos, brother.JMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09876016557456927299noreply@blogger.com
